For years, mylar bags have been the packaging material of choice for hop growers around the globe.

They block UV rays, keep hops fresh and BUT their complex composition makes them difficult to recycle and so often once used they are sent to landfill or burnt in energy from waste plants, releasing harmful carbon emissions in the process.

Innovation has come a long way and we are testing packaging materials that are made from renewable materials rather than fossil fuels and easier to recycle. Our Zero Waste Hops will be packaged in materials that have all the same qualities of Mylar whilst being less impactful on the environment.
